Bears are found when chopping trees at your homestead. They are more likely to appear if your Trees are fully grown, 8 Chop level for Pine trees, and 12 chop level for Oak trees. When you clobber Bears you will be rewarded with coins and other bonus items, including items from the Bear Collection.
Scaring bears - For every Bear you scare you receive up to 20 XP, 250 Coins and 13 Food. Once you have completed scaring you will have the option of posting to the Live Feed where your friends can claim 50 XP if they chose to click on it.
Many missions require finding bears to clobber, therefore it is useful to have some fully grown trees on your homestead, otherwise you could be waiting a while!
Missions involving clobbering Bears
Scare Bears - scare 6 Bears.
Teach Hunting - Spouse or Child scare 7 Bears.
